This is with reference to the Video Conferencing today with the Secretary Fertiliser about observance of Swachhta Pakhwada.
In this connection we may inform you that IFFCO has always been practicing cleanliness as a way of life.
Our action plan is as under:
1. Apart from taking the pledge, all plants and offices of IFFCO all over the Country will be emphasizing and propagating the importance of cleanliness and use of toilets.
2. IFFCO will also be educating the villagers surrounding its Units about the importance of segregation of dry and wet garbage at source and the ways to dispose it of.
3. IFFCO has also taken the initiative of making all our Units Plastic free. For this purpose we are distributing bags made of clothes.
4. IFFCO has also taken initiative of R & D in the field of Nano fertilizers, which will go a long way in overall cleanliness of environment.
5. IFFCO has introduced a bio-decomposer which will help in decomposing crop residue as well as domestic decomposable garbage.
6. IFFCO has introduced sea weed extract products named "Sagarika"which will reduce consumption of chemical fertilisers and increase farm yield.
7. Bio Gas Units, Compost pits and Vermi Compost Units will be popularized amongst the farmers with a view to achieve the twin objective of cleanliness as well as production of quality manure.
8. Demonstrations will be organised for crop residue and suger cane trash management without burning.
