IFFCO, world’s biggest cooperative society in the processed chemical fertilizer sector will be completing 50 years of its inception on 3

November 2017. In the 5 decades of its existence, this cooperative has seen various societal, political, geographical and technical changes. Moreover, it connected itself to nearly every village of the country and in return gained the faith, love and trust of the farmer of the country, which is a unique connection. It is a connection of Heart and Soul. Hence it is very important to showcase the real experience, strength, love, affection and moreover that soulful connection with the farmer across the country. IFFCO has made mark not within the country but also on the global front as well. It is very important to collate everything and present the same in a form of cultural bouquet for posterity. Broadly it will cover Milestones, Historic Moments, Cultural Heritage, Leaders of IFFCO, Messages & Speeches from various leaders across the world along with participation of cooperators and farmers of the country.
The Golden Jubilee Celebrations will start on Thursday; 3
rd
November 2016 from Kalol which is the mother plant of IFFCO with inauguration of
Golden Jubilee Column
for showcasing the strength of Cooperative and Farmers. This will be placed in all the plants including Nellore & Head Office, New Delhi. This series of events will travel across the country covering all the manufacturing Plants, State Offices, Area Offices and some other relevant places to cover entire cooperative network of IFFCO. The celebrations will not only touch the agriculture and cooperation side but also the art and culture of the country as IFFCO has always worked for promoting the same.
The final & main celebrations will be held in New Delhi on 3

November 2017, which includes a Gala celebration at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium with capacity of 15000 persons. All Board Meetings during the Golden Jubilee year from 3

November 2017 will be covering the following aspects:

All Plants will gave one cultural performance each,
·
Songs & Dance Performances from professional artists,
·
Local Folk artists of the States,
·
An anthem of IFFCO will be made by a renowned Bollywood Music Directors,
·
A special Audio-Visaul will be made to feature IFFCO contribution to the Nation,
·
Book Launch: A Coffee Table Book on History of IFFCO and People’s CEO (Book on Dr. U S Awasthi)
·
9 Special Farmer Trains will start from various destinations covering all corners of the country so that farmers can participate on final day.
·
Cooperators and farmers from adjacent areas will also be present. Buses will be used as mode of transportation for them
Celebrations At Plants: Kalol, Kandla, Phulpur, Aonla, Paradeep & Nellore:
Celebration activities include Participation of employees and all those directly or indirectly associated with the Society. Painting Competition, Essay Writing, Blogs, Best Tweets, Best Hash #Tags, Technical Skills, USP of Plants, Environment Friendly efforts, History of the Plant, Cultural Event including dances, songs, skits, dram etc. The theme will be “IFFCO Stepping to Golden Era with 50 Golden Years dedicated to the service of Farmers, Cooperatives & Nation”. All these will be covered under a one day program, a day before the main celebrations event in Plant.
Celebrations At State Offices, Area Offices & Other Relevant places:
Celebrations will start from Area office level, as it will give us an opportunity to connect the entire cooperative network of IFFCO. It will also help in connecting to farmers and cooperators as this would be the time to get in touch with maximum number of cooperators and farmers across the State. 100 strategic locations based on State, Area offices etc. will be selected & all adjacent IFFCO member cooperators will be invited for a daylong celebratory program. There will be a felicitation of 10 farmers and 10 Cooperators in those programs across 100 various locations. Objective is to cover entire member cooperative societies of IFFCO. Also, keeping protection of environment & health of farmers in mind there will be distribution of 5 trees relevant to local geographical locations to 10 farmers each of 50,000 villages of the country for example, in North India it could be Mango, Guava, Lemon, Aonla & Neem trees. Hence About 25 lakh useful fruit and other horticulture plants will be distributed among 5 lakh farmers. Farmer Melas, Krishi Goshthi, Nukkad Natak, Folk Dance & Songs could be part of the event celebrations. Also, in few selected places, there will be Mushaiyra, Kavi Sammelan and relevant entertainment programs to be organized as a part of the celebrations. Exhibition on IFFCO and its subsidiaries along with some local activities done by IFFCO will also be part of the entire celebrations.
Operations:

Finances for entire events will be earmarked from Head Office.
·
Each Plant & State Marketing Office will make Individual Committees for different events.
·
Board will be kept updated in every Board Meeting
·
The planning will also be reviewed & discussed in all QRMs.
Celebrations will also be visible in digital world by using various social media tools specifically Facebook & Twitter. Tie ups with Google, Yahoo & MSN will be done in order to enhance the digital viewership.
Possibility of making a commercial film on “IFFCO Ki Kahani” in a fiction format is also being explored.
These are few thoughts to celebrate the 50 Year Golden Jubilee Celebrations across the country. Everyone is welcome to share their thoughts, suggestions and views, which can be discussed further to make this occasion a grand success.
