CERVICAL SCREENING PROGRAMME
THE PAP SMEAR
The cervical cancer prevention week is being celebrated all over the world from 22nd January 2012 to 29th January 2012. As we all know,
a simple test can help prevent cervical cancer. It is called the pap test or (pap-smear). The pap test looks for abnormal changes in the cells of the cervix (The neck of the womb) at the top of the vagina. It is a tool to find early warning signs that cancer might develop in the future.
Hounouring the celebration of cervical prevention programme,
Jyoti Ladies Club, IFFCO
is going to organize a camp on
pap smear
test at IFFCO township hospital on 27th January 2012. (8 A.M. to 12.00 Noon and 2 P.M. to 6 P.M.)
Ladies of the age 40yrs and above of the township are requested to comeforward and avail the opportunity of pap-smear test. After collection, the slides will be sent to Acharya Harihar Regional Cancer Centre, Cuttack for study and reporting.
We request everybody to cooperate us for this programme.
The samples will be collected by Dr. Puspa Mohanty & Dr. Prativa Pattnaik at township hospital
